Quarterly report on DOC visitation metrics.

New York City Local Law 85 of 2015 requires the New York City Department of Correction (DOC) to publicly report Jail Visitation Statistics within 30 days of the beginning of each quarter for the preceding quarter. Specifically, the DOC is required to report the following metrics on a quarterly basis:

(1)The total number of visitors to city jails, the total number of visitors to borough jail facilities, and the total number of visitors to city jails on Rikers Island,

(2) The total number of visitors that visited a person in custody at city jails, the total number of visitors that visited a person in custody at borough jail facilities, and the total number of visitors that visited a person in custody at city jails on Rikers Island,

(3) The number of visitors unable to visit a person in custody at any city jail, in total and disaggregated by the reason such visit was not completed,

(4) The person in custody visitation rate, which shall be calculated by dividing the average daily number of visitors who visited persons in custody at city jails during the reporting period by the average daily person in custody population of city jails during the reporting period,

(5) The borough jail facility visitation rate, which shall be calculated by dividing the average daily number of visitors who visited persons in custody at borough jail facilities during the reporting period by the average daily person in custody population of borough jail facilities during the reporting period, and

(6) The Rikers Island visitation rate, which shall be calculated by dividing the average daily number of visitors who visited persons in custody at city jails on Rikers Island during the reporting period by the average daily person in custody population of city jails on Rikers Island during the reporting period. The data within this report represents information that was available to the Department at the time of report production is subject to change based on updated information subsequently reported by staff members to the Department.

The dataset contains annual count data for the number of intimate partner homicides, calls to the domestic violence hotline, total and borough counts for total and new client visits and by borough to the New York City Family Justice Centers and the number of trainings and workshops conducted by the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence Policy and Training Unit and the Healthy Relationship Academy.

This data set contains pre and post workshop survey level data of Signature workshops conducted by the New York City Healthy Relationship Academy between 2005 and 2017.

This data set contains case level data of coverage of newspaper articles on intimate partner homicides in New York City between 2013-2016.

This dataset contains dates and locations of Risk-Based Inspections carried out by fire companies. This data set does not include other inspections performed by fire companies such as Construction, Demolition & Abatement or other mandatory inspections.

The Commission has, since its inception, and in accordance with its Executive Order, released annual reports detailing its activities for each past year. The annual reports also include follow-up reviews of recommendations made in Commission studies, including the Department's ongoing handling of off-duty misconduct cases and discipline of officers who have made false official statements.

Categories of NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau cases reviewed by CCPC, that were closed during the 2017 and 2018 calendar years.For CCPC's 19th Annual Report, CCPC reviewed 133 NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB) investigations that were closed during the 2017 and 2018 calendar years. CCPC analyzed these cases and evaluated whether they were fair, thoroguh, accurate, and impartial. This dataset reflects the most serious allegation and the number of cases for each category.

The Early Relationship Abuse Prevention Program (Early RAPP) seeks to help middle schoolers identify unhealthy behaviors to prevent them from forming patterns of abuse while learning to build healthy relationship skills at a critical time in their development. Importantly, Early RAPP works to create a school culture that supports those respectful relationships, and creates safe spaces for young people to seek help for themselves and their peers. Community Educators facilitate interactive workshops for students, parents, and community members, as well as trainings to school staff.
The Early RAPP aims to improve student knowledge and understanding of the types of abuse and healthy relationships. In order to measure the changes in knowledge and attitudes resulting from their workshops and trainings, Community Educators conduct surveys before and after workshops. Every school year, Community Educators are required to conduct at least three workshops in the fall semester and at least three workshops in the spring semester, in which pre- and post-workshop surveys are conducted. Participant responses are anonymous. The Early RAPP pre- and post-workshop surveys are identical, consisting of fourteen standard questions about teen dating violence and healthy relationships with response options: Agree/Disagree (10 questions) and Healthy/Not Sure/Unhealthy (4 questions). The questions aim to measure each participant’s understanding of the topics covered in the workshop. This report provides a summary of pooled results from 1,325 pre- surveys and 1,093 post- surveys from workshops conducted with middle school students between January 30, 2019 and January 21, 2021.

This data set contains New York City Police Department provided felony assault count data for calendar years 2020 and 2021. The data includes counts of the number of intimate-partner felony assaults and the number of expected intimate-partner felony assaults by: race (American Indian, Asian, Black, Hispanic and White) and sex (male, female) for New York City, each borough (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island) and community district. The following defines felony assault: Felony assault requires that a victim suffer a physical injury and covers injuries caused either intentionally or recklessly and includes injuries caused by either a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument. See New York Penal Law § § 120.05, 120.10. The expected number of felony assaults were calculated by taking the total number of actual felony assaults for a given geography (New York City, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island) and proportioning them by demographic breakdown of the geographic area.

Incident-level summons data, each record representing one summons. This data set contains New York City Police Department provided incident level data for domestic violence related offenses felony assaults, felony rapes and domestic incident reports) for calendar years 2020 and 2021. The data includes: date of incident, precinct of incident, borough of incident, suspect victim relationship, victim stated relationship description, victims race, victims sex, victims reported age, suspect race, suspect sex, suspect reported age, community district of incident, community district has high poverty rate, community district has low median household income, and high rate of unemployment. The following defines domestic violence incident report, domestic violence related felony assault and felony rapes: Domestic Violence Incident Report (DIR) is a form that police must complete every time they respond to a domestic incident, whether or not an arrest is made. A DIR would be filed for any domestic violence offense, including felony assault and felony rape.

The dataset contains count data for the number of Family Justice Center clients that reported being foreign born or born in the United States, basic demographic information, including age category, to 10 primary languages spoken, top 10 countries of origin, relationship between client and person committing the intimate partner violence, and the top 5 services provided.

This data set contains count data on domestic violence homicide and intimate partner homicide incidents from the 2015 the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Supplemental Homicide Report (SHR) and population from the SHR.

Police incident level data documenting vehicular stops. Data is collected under New York City Administrative Code 14-191 and may be used to gain insight into police-initiated vehicle stops, demographics of people stopped, details of vehicles involved and resulting action of stops, if any.

This dataset contains GPS coordinates for each ice ladder NYC Parks places around lakes and ponds. These ladders are intended for rescuing anyone who falls through the ice of a lake or pond during winter. Each record is an ice ladder location. Some locations have multiple ice ladders, which is shown in the LADDER_COUNT field. This dataset is updated annually before winter so maps can be included in borough snow manuals.

This dataset shows hurricane evacuation centers. Persons requiring shelter during a hurricane are processed at a
hurricane evacuation center and then transported to a hurricane shelter. In the event of a hurricane, the status of these hurricane evacuation centers should be confirmed at www.nyc.gov or by calling 311.
