The NYC 3D Model by Community District is a publicly available model consisting of every building in New York City present in 2014. The model is based on DOITT’s 2014 aerial survey, which provides roof structure details, including a high-level of detail for certain iconic buildings. The Department of City Planning imported and enhanced the DOITT files by converting the entire model into .3dm format, which is compatible with Rhinoceros 3D modeling software. DCP also divided the model into the City’s 59 Community Districts and enriched each CD with base layers, including lots, streets, parks, and rail lines.
The 3D model is capable of being imported into most common 3D-modeling software, including Sketchup and AutoCAD.

This dataset captures counts of youth entering detention in a calendar year by their home borough and community district. Each line of the data is the count of youth admitted to detention from a borough/community district. The data a drawn from the Juvenile Detention Automated System (JDAS) annually. The data are geocoded. There is always a small number of records for which the home bough and/or community district cannot be determined.

For each Community District, its Recycling Diversion rate (percentage of total municipal solid waste collected by the Department of Sanitation that is disposed of by recycling) and Capture Rate (percentage of total Paper or Metal/Glass/Plastic in the waste stream that is disposed of by recycling). Capture rate is the amount of materials set out for residential recycling collection as a percentage of designated recyclable materials in both recycling and refuse streams. This ratio measures how much of the targeted materials are actually being recycled, which is a measure of how successfully such materials are recycled. Please note that since 2013, DSNY no longer uses capture rate information. This dataset shows the maximum number (cap) of Tobacco Retail Dealer licenses (TRD) and Electronic Cigarette Retail Dealer licenses (ECD) allowed in each Community District, as well as the current number of active Tobacco Retail Dealer and Electronic Cigarette Retail Dealer licenses and, where the number of active licenses is less than the cap, the number of licenses that are available.

Population of individuals and households receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Cash Assistance (CA), or Medicaid Benefits (MA) as shown on the Borough Consultation Report.

This dataset includes information regarding the population of individuals and households receiving SNAP, Cash Assistance, and/or Medicaid.

The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) conducts a semi-annual review of Tobacco Retail Dealer licenses and Electronic Cigarette Dealer Licenses in each Community District to determine if the number of current licenses has fallen below the Community District cap. DCWP issues a public notice in the City Record stating which Community Districts have available licenses, how many licenses are available, and when it will begin accepting Lottery Application forms.

At the close of the Lottery Application Period, DCWP will assign each accepted application a “Priority Number” using a computer-generated random number selection program. If the number of accepted Lottery Application Forms exceeds the number of available Tobacco Retail Dealer licenses for the Community District, DCWP will issue offers to apply for the license in the order of the assigned Priority Numbers.

Records in the Housing Database Project-Level Files are geocoded to the greatest level of precision possible, subject to numerous quality assurance and control checks, recoded for usability, and joined to other housing data sources relevant to city planners and analysts.

Data are updated semiannually, at the end of the second and fourth quarters of each year.

There are two versions of the project level Housing Database:
1) HousingDB_post2010 - all active and completed jobs
2) HousingDB_post2010_inactive_included - all active, completed jobs and inactive jobs (includes withdrawn, stalled, or duplicate jobs)

This dataset provides key performance indicators for several agencies disaggregated by community district, police precinct, borough or school district. Each line of data indicates the relevant agency, the indicator, the type of geographic subunit and number, and data for each month. Data are provided from Fiscal Year 2011 (July 2010) to Fiscal Year 2019 (June 2019). This data is submitted by the relevant agency to the Mayor’s Office of Operations on an annual basis and is available on Operations’ website.
