This data details the location of the Taxi and For Hire Vehicle(FHV) stands and the number of spaces provided. Taxi and FHV relief stands allow drivers to park their vehicles for up to one hour. This gives drivers the opportunity to leave their vehicles and take care of personal needs.

TNOTE: Taxi and FHV relief stands should not be confused with taxi stands. Taxi stands allow drivers to wait in their cars to pick up passengers.

In accordance with NYC Administrative Code section 19-182.3, the Serious Injury Response, Tracking & Analysis Program (SIRTA) is a program at the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) that investigates, analyzes and reports on serious vehicular crashes, review street design, infrastructure and driver behavior at each crash location, and makes recommendations for safety street design or infrastructure. This dataset provides information on serious vehicular crashes that were analyzed and reported on as part of SIRTA. Parking Permits for People with Disabilities (PPPD- City) are issued to people who have a disability that severely and permanently impairs mobility and requires the use of a private automobile for transportation. Non-drivers, such as children with qualifying disabilities, are also eligible for consideration.

Parking Permits for People with Disabilities (PPPD- State) are issued to people who are eligible to obtain a New York State parking permit, and the person has been certified by a physician as having a disability that severely affects the person’s ability to walk for long distances.

Agency Business Parking Permits (ABPP) are issued to government employees who need to park while conducting official business and are valid for three-hour parking in No Parking, Truck Loading, and metered zones.

Annual On-Street Parking Permits (AOSPP) are issued to not-for-profit organizations. The permit allows vehicles limited standing and parking privileges in loading zones and at parking meters while carrying out the organization's mission.

Data that that populates the Vision Zero View map, which can be found at www.nycvzv.info Vision Zero is the City's goal for ending traffic deaths and injuries. The Vision Zero action plan can be found at http://www.nyc.gov/html/visionzero/pdf/nyc-vision-zero-action-plan.pdf Crash data is obtained from the Traffic Accident Management System (TAMS), which is maintained by the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Only crashes with valid geographic information are mapped. All midblock crashes are mapped to the nearest intersection. Injuries and fatalities are grouped by intersection and summarized by month and year. This data is queried and aggregated on a monthly basis and is current as of the query date. Current year data is January to the end of the latest full month. All mappable crash data is represented on the simplified NYC street model. Crashes occurring at complex intersections with multiple roadways are mapped onto a single point. Injury and fatality crashes occurring on highways are excluded from this data. Please note that this data is preliminary and may contain errors, accordingly, the data on this site is for informational purposes only. Although all attempts to provide the most accurate information are made, errors may be present and any person who relies upon this data does so at their own risk.

This is a report of city vehicles and actual MPG compared to EPA estimated MPG. Each line of data is a combination of all the active vehicles on the city’s telematics system broken down into year/make/model/standard type with fueling and usage data. The intent is for each line to represent the sticker MPG and the real-world MPG and how these compare to each other. Police incident level data documenting vehicular stops. Data is collected under New York City Administrative Code 14-191 and may be used to gain insight into police-initiated vehicle stops, demographics of people stopped, details of vehicles involved and resulting action of stops, if any.
